Placement International recruitment team was joined by The Ritz-Carlton’s Human Resources department at Les Roches Hospitality, Marbella, Spain, on May 19th, 2022. Our team of Les Roches alumni shared their success stories with the future leaders of the hospitality industry. The students were presented with a number of incredible paid hotel internship opportunities in Miami through our J-1 visa program.
Placement International, Les Roches, Marbella and The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach & Bal Harbour organized the first international in-person recruitment event!
Our team was delighted to be back to face-to-face recruitment events and it was an incredible time to network with the future leaders of the hospitality industry. Our 15 year partnership with The Ritz-Carlton has provided students with exceptional job opportunities and propelled their careers early on.
Sofia De Frutos and Ksenia Nosychenko, PI’s recruiting team, were accompanied by remarkable female hospitality leaders; Altargracia Gomez, Market Director of HR, and Alexis Harris, Market Assistant Director of HR at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach & Bal Harbour properties.
The HR representatives had the opportunity to network with young hospitalians and present them with paid J-1 hotel internship opportunities at The Ritz-Carlton. The team was hiring students on the spot for The Ritz-Carlton South Beach and Bal Harbour properties, providing hospitalians the opportunity to take their career abroad to the USA. Students are able to kick off their careers and gain an unforgettable experience of living the American dream in one of the most beautiful cities: Miami, Florida.
One example of an incredible success story with The Ritz-Carlton and Les Roches, is our own Sofia De Frutos. As an alumna, through her experience, she demonstrates how to make the American dream a reality for all young hospitalians. Her career took off in 2017 through the PI J-1 visa program in the USA:
- Room Division at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach (2017) with J-1 Visa
- Welcome Desk at W South Beach (2017-2019) through the PI J-1 visa program
- Assistant Front Office Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach (2019-2021): the hotel sponsored her repeat J-1 Visa
- Opening team: Guest Experience Manager at The Edition, Madrid (2022)
Five years after taking her career abroad, Sofia joined the Placement International team in Barcelona as the Quality and Success Manager. Today, she ensures our students have an impressive J-1 abroad experience as her.
On the other hand, Ksenia Nosychenko, a Les Roches alumna, is a great example of how Global Hospitality Education alongside the perfect placement can jumpstart your career.
As a Russian hospitality professional, thanks to Placement International, she has been able to work in Europe and expand her career. After working at various leading hotel brands, she began her student internship at PI. Shortly after, Thomas Riveyran, founder and CEO of Placement International, saw her potential and promoted Ksenia to her current position, School Relations Manager.
