What are the requirements?
- Keep your student status and finish at least one semester of studies outside the US.
- If you have already graduated, your new internship must begin no later than one year after.
- A new internship must focus on developing more advanced skills.
The general guideline for additional J-1 internships and trainings is that they cannot build upon prior education or experience. Second or third programs must demonstrate training advancement and cannot involve the same duties or "position".
How many times can I travel to the states on a J-1 visa?
The maximum limit of J-1 Visas you can apply for with Placement International is three. Therefore, you will be able to grow your career in the US for 3 years!
When can I apply for a J-1 Visa?
After you have successfully completed your first J-1 Visa program, you can apply for a second J-1 Visa through Placement International, who will take care of the process and procedures to prolong your stay in the US.
