Van Lang University, located in Ho Chi Minh City, is proud to have signed a cooperation agreement with Placement International. The signing ceremony, which took place on April 12, 2023, marked a significant milestone for the Faculty of Tourism at Van Lang University, as they became the first Vietnamese partner to sign a collaboration agreement with us.
Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, believes that this cooperation will help students improve their knowledge and professional working style, and confidently hold influential positions at top companies in the future. Ms. Mai Phuong Thao, Placement Manager of Placement International Vietnam, shared with the lecturers and students of Van Lang University's Faculty of Tourism that Vietnamese employees often face communication challenges in foreign languages when reaching out to the global labor market. However, learning and practical work experience in a multicultural setting can help the youth get out of their comfort zone, enhance their confidence and foreign language abilities, and contribute to adapting to the integration era.
Founder and Executive Director of Placement International, Mr. Thomas Francois Riveyran, discussed with VLU students about the benefits of studying and working in a global setting. He emphasized that this can help rapidly enhance soft skills, sharpen observation abilities, and apply theory into practice faster and more accurately.
According to the MOU, Van Lang University's Tourism students will have the opportunity to participate in various cultural exchange and association programs. This partnership between Van Lang University and Placement International will motivate students to study hard and experience different cultures, bringing back useful information and lessons that will help them achieve their career goals.
