Hotels that Accommodated Frontliners

Hospitality is alive amidst the crisis as hotel groups worldwide remain open for medical workers in the frontlines to fight against coronavirus. Various hotel chains have reached out to help and we want to acknowledge the hospitality of our heroes.

Hilton 

American Express, in partnership with Hilton’s ownership community, will donate up to 1 million hotel room nights across the United States to frontline medical professionals leading the fight against COVID-19.

Marriott

Marriott, in partnership with American Express and JP Morgan Chase, launched a $10 million program called “Rooms for Responders”. The program will provide free rooms to healthcare professionals in parts of the USA most affected by COVID-19.

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels

Millennium Hotels and Resorts has offered 128 rooms for National Health Service UK staff to stay between shifts. Local accommodation helps maintain the health and well-being of these crucial personnel at this critical time.

RedDoorz

Singapore-headquartered hotel startup RedDoorz has launched an initiative called Red Heroes to provide temporary accommodation for frontline healthcare staff and emergency first responders for free during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Annex Hotel

The Annex Hotel in Toronto reopens to provide free rooms for healthcare professionals. They have a new place to call home in between shifts. Frontline guests can book their rooms, receive entry codes, and check themselves into their rooms contact free using just their phones.

Comfort Inn and Suites

Comfort Inn and Suites in Canada offers frontline healthcare workers free rooms to stay in for the next few weeks in order to help them protect their families. Manegre said healthcare workers will be able to have extended stays at the hotel if needed to better match with their shifts.

Accor

Simon McGrath, Australia's chief operating officer for international hotel group Accor, which counts Ibis and Sofitel among its brands, said the company had already begun housing doctors and nurses in Western Australia.
